Title: Genuine water pump
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 28 September 2009, 22:13:19
Anyone know a source of genuine (or otherwise proven) V6 water pumps?

Dealers have gone up from £20 odd to £61, and that's on trade!

I'm trying hard to find a supplier, to enable me to maintain my prices....

wonder what 4 pot pumps are like now cost wise, they always used to be more than V6 ones.

Word of caution. I bought a new water pump with my cambelt Kit from buyparstbuy. It was a Quinton hazell part No QCP3255. It works fine having been well tested on a hot day towing heavy loads of stone up giant hills etc but......

When I fitted it the housing is thinner than the VX one and so the bolts caught on the Impeller?, easily fixed but only spotted because I check each stage and rotated the pump after fitting by hand. Wouldn't have been clever to have found it on engine start up.

I rate buypartsbuy. Good service I have used  several times.
