Hi . All has anyone been able to fulfil any retirement wishes?Question really is for anyone is retired or is thinking of retirement. sandune

I managed to escape the yob culture, total breakdown of local community, endless traffic jams, CCTV, nanny state oh and the endless grey,damp tupperware days.
It isn't perfect but will do.

absolutley agree with the above sentiments!!! we think life is so much better here!!! apart from the lack of parts shops!!!!! :y

When I retire in 12 years I'm off to the islands of Hawaii, guests welcome as long as you bring a pot of branston pickle and a couple of tins of boddingtons :y ;D ;D

hardly retirement age guff, & as for the boddies, well forget it. bass or pedigree mate. get some proper ale down ya. :y the branston is a must though :D

hardly retirement age guff, & as for the boddies, well forget it. bass or pedigree mate. get some proper ale down ya. :y the branston is a must though :D
Actually the ale there is pretty good. There is a microbrewery on the big island which does about half a dozen beers of differing levels. Boddies is just pure nectar for me although its not as nice as it used to be when it was delivered in cask from Strangeways.
After 16 years I can retire although I could carry on a few more years and top up the pension fund nicely. It doesnt stop me from working of course but then again my plan is to sail around the world for a few years before taking up another job :y

Iv`e got 10 years to go and also plan to sail round the world. :y Only difference is i am planning to go on a nice big liner and be waited on hand and foot. ;) Been showing swmbo the brochures and told her that if she behaves herself between now and then, by not complaining about how much i`m paying out for my miggy, she can go too ;) ;D ;D ;D
