Ho hum , following on from the Irmscher steering wheel thread I had grained an old gear knob |I had to match the wheel . Unfortunatley I forgot about the " lift for reverse " feature on these cars so it cant be used. >:(

After doing a quick search I can't fine a suitable wooden gear knob with the lift facility but I believe I can make one.
This is where I need some help. :)
I need an old gear knob from an Omega that I can get some dimensions from (internal B ) .
Also can anyone tell me the diameter and type of machining on the top of the gearstick ie is it splined, knurled or screwed .
And lastly if anyone can look at the gearstick minus knob what's the dimension between the coller (A)and the end of the stick .
If I can get these sizes I think I'll be able to make up wooden or grained knobs to match the wood inside the P/F/L and F/L cars .

I'll pay for all costs to post it over and the cost of the knob as well if anyone has one.
Oh and thanks for all the comments on the steering wheel , I appreciate them all.
