Hi
I know a few of you on here run the old diesel Omegas i was just wondering what sort of mpg they do as im thinking of selling the S plate 2.0 cd and the Peugeot 405 and ending up with 1 car. Need a diesel for economy as im likely to be off work without income for the next 3 months so economy but comfort is a must.. Not worried about the year in fact as cheap as possible but must be a good runner with Long mot so if anyone knows for any let me know.. :y

Mines a 2.5TD estate facelift 2000. It returns around 32-35mpg just on short runs and hopefully around 40-45 on longer runs. I say hopefully on longer runs, as most of my longer runs are with the caravan attached, this returns roughly around 25-28mpg depending on road conditions, speed I travel and also how much weight etc I have in the caravan.
Before I had it serviced the figures were roughly 5mpg lower than this, it really is showing the benefit of that last service, and the addition of a double dosing of Redex.

Omegatoy would be the best personal to ask, as he has owned loads of these, some chipped, some not...
