I know this has been done a thousand times before and someone will always say stick to GM and others swear by an aftermarket part, but after driving home tonight im in clear (or not as the case of my windscreen) need of some new wipers :(
How much and from were guys?
Also the washer jet on the drivers side is weak but fine on the passengers is it easy to sort and if so how?
TIA Dave :y

I've sorted the washer jet out in the past with a Tip Cleaner (Welder's use them for cleaning their tips). If you can't get hold of some of these, you'll need something really fine to poke into the holes. Even a paper clip's too large.
You could also use an Airline, but be carefull with the preasure (i knew a guy that used one at around 150psi & he blew the little jets out. Never to be seen again ;D). As for the wipers, i use Wilco's specials for around £1.99 & i don't have any probs

seems to be either genuine or bosch aero blade twin in the flat blade style.

0.5mm "interdental brushes" (next to the toothbrushes and dental floss in boots/superdrug/most supermarkets) will fit in the jets to get the grot moving.
There is a guide in the maintenance section which mentions cleaning out the tank and the filter on the washer pump.

Just got a set of windscreen wipers from the local Vauxhall dealer because i am sick of the El cheapo ones dropping to bits.
Cost £19.83!

I have a pair of cheapo ebay Aero blades, only had them on for 8 months, but am well satisfied so far. Cost me £8 including p&p if memory serves.
-
aero flats all the way ebay 9.98 a set free p&p

Got the Bosch AeroTwin (AR607S) on mine. £20 inc postage from ebay. Much quieter and smoother than my originals that I'd put up with for six years. After extensive testing in the p***ing down rain and swapping back and forth with the original passenger side blade I have to say they leave a small unswept area where the tax disc normally sits whereas the convential GM blade does not. Still I don't look through that bit when I'm driving but i know it's there.... :-/

I use Bosch wipers from Halfrauds - £17.99 a set iirc. Quiet & smooth and give a nice clear view.
With the washer jet it might be worth poking it with a dressmakers pin such as those used on shirt packs.

I use GM aero blades which I bought 3 sets from laocal dealers when they went bust early this year...paid £10=00 a set and have had no issues with them...silly place to fit the GM log though as bit large and very white !!

I just used a needle to clean out the nozzle jets. Seemed to have worked. Hope I haven't damaged anything.
