How high is Ben Nevis?

I could regularly make the trip computer in our old CDX show much higher MPG figures than that...simply get to 60mph on a downhill slope and lift off the gas.
The fuel consumption estimate (that is all it is) is based on fuel flow combined with road speed.
-
Ah but what did you get uphill? 60 gallons per mile? ;D ;D
-
im lucky to get 19mpg on my 3.0 :)

Well not quite the best I've had really.......
That's what the display reads, I'm getting a bit more than half that infact 35 mpg, but it's only going on what I've used on that particular trip of 288 miles.
Low fuel light was on when I put fuel in and just 2 miles from home it came back on.
So look at the other display readings and tell me, and in particular other chipped tractor owners out there, is your display as wildly out as mine.
BTW ...I used 8.4 gallons of diesel, not what the display reads. The journey was half motorway and the rest A roads apart from about 30 miles local stop start driving. I also estimate I've enough fuel left for around another 10 miles, not what the range says.
