our "fleet suppliers" have decided to send testers out with us to check our driving, ive got mine tomorrow- i may show him up when i give him my licence -car,hgv,psv,track and forktruck. waste of bloody time but thats our lot all over!!
-
how embarrassing would it be if you failed??
are they expecting you to drive as you would on a first time driving test?
-
Bet he still finds fault tho..... ::)
I had to take a test with driving examiner to get my taxi license......he passed me....but didnt give 100%....even tho i was trying coz i knew i was being tested.....think it was about 90% for my driving skills....on all types of roads....took about an 1hr

On an assessment our drivers are expected to drive to test standards, but some assessors take a more practical view and just look for dangerous faults. That said I usually warn new starters that I would like them to consider it as a driving test, but it's amazing how many think they can get away with 40+ in a 30 then wonder why they don't get a job.
My next test will be a bit more involved though, I've got my assessors ticket to requalify, my advanced motorists to pass and my driver trainers ticket to pass, all in a fortnight. The good news is it means a fortnight in a posh hotel in Omega central (Nottingham). :y

Don't be so sure. You may have a list of driving qualifications, but you may be surprised, Trust me, I am a driving Instructor, fleet trainer and ADI Tutor. :y
-
You have experience with the advanced drivers Ronnie?
Wondering what I'm letting myself in for.
-
I training for my RoSPA advanced driving test, you have to be re-tested every 3 years to retain it.
I've had 2 assessments so far, with different assessors, both have picked on different points.
I on the waiting list to be allocated a tutor.

Good luck Tone - it should be a walk in the park :y Which is where you'll be sleeping if you fail ;D

Im guessing driving at 45mph in the middle lane of a motorway might have been one of them ;D ::)
