Title: Fixed Penalty Notice (Non-Endorsable)
Post by: RossMk2 on 15 December 2009, 19:17:31
My girlfriend came home with one of these tonight for her number plates being incorrectly spaced. I dont dispute the fact but its a £60 fine it says, when i have had one of these previous and from a quick scan on the inet a Non-Endorsable ticket is £30. She was pulled on the M6 of all places coming back home from Chesterfield and the note has 'Leicestershire Constabulary' on it, can fine values change between different constabularies? Or should i dispute the penalty amount?

Cannot recall the number plate spacing one, but I do know there have been recent changes with some FPNs.

For example - fail to wear seatbelt is now £60 (although still non endorsable).

I know about the seat belt fine, but i cannot find any information about the number plate one not even an offence code! From what i can make of the officers writing its T026 but that means nothing!

With effect from 30th June this year the FPN for non wearing of seatbelts and also illegally spaced registration plates increased from £30 to £60. Re; reg. plates. DVLA can if they wish withdraw the offending plate
