Title: 3.2 MV6
Post by: alunonhisown on 01 January 2010, 21:03:53

Is this an Elite, or is MV6 the model, like above CDX but below Elite.
But £5k man must be mad

MV6 offical spec is slightly above CD, but it looks like that ones had some optional extras, like colour screen and better radio 2013/15 by the looks of things.

Yes thats an mv6,and i beleive the cdx has most of the toys of an elite if not all,but externally not as sporty looking as the mv6.

its worth what anyone is prepared to pay for it, its super low miles, and you don't see that many 3.2 MV6 around, colour screen is a real bonus, they are 600 quid if you wanted to retro fit.

I personally would have paid up to 3.5k for it.

Car is nice milage, but doubt any mig is worth that,i would probably give him around the £3000 mark, and for high milage i would say it would fetch around £1900,which is what i paid for mine 12 month ago. :y

I don't like the silver inlays on the MV6. Think they look cheap & tacky :(
That car's worth what someone would pay for it & he'll probably get close to that, because he's a Dealer & some folk are naive.
It's certainly not worth that

Looks a tidy enough car.  Good toys, although I cannot see the sensors for the PDC - Park Distance Control?

If its the 2015 radio fitted, the glovebox space will be swallowed up with the telematics for the inbuilt telephone.  Depends if you need a glovebox or not, I suppose...

No mention of test or tax, nor indeed service history, cambelt change, etc.  Despite the mileage, monies asked should be about halved but, ultimately, a car is worth whatever you want to pay or the seller wants to sell for....

Edit to above - just saw 'full service history' in the listing.  That would need fuller looking into, especially as regards cambelt/tensioner changes....

looks like a replaced vx exhaust. Def not same as the slash cut original at least. might suggest non genuine miles? or short journeys? ....or i,m reading too much into it.

Wont have self levelling or momory seats.

Have seen Elites on the forecourt with more miles for more money. This has coveted leather sport seats, arguably better suspension with Elite head unit and cid. Not many Elites have cid.

Very nice car but a lot of money. I don't think you would pay that much even in Europe for one.

The dealer may be willing to come down a bit?

I bought mine with about 85,000 miles on it, but still had to rebuild most of the suspension components anyway.

Very nice car, good kit too, CID, rain sensing wipers, leather recaro's, very very nice car but way overpriced. Cambelt is probably just about due too if it hasn't been done.

There are less and less of them on the roads so values have stopped nosediving.

I reckon mine will be worth over £1000 by the summer

Nige - a colour coded LPG filler would look a treat on there  :y

According to 3 "body shops" getting the "right" finish on the filler is "difficult" as paint does not stick to the type of rubber the filler is made from - quote/unquote -   :)

I would rather have it as it is than a rubbish finish or half peeling.. :)

However, as I'm waiting to have the dink in the wing fixed once the b****d who hit me actualy gets around to telling his insurance, I'm going to ask them what they think .. :)

Not quite sure what you mean - it has not been in an accident apart from a very low speed rear end shunt
