Lol, obvious now what the problem was!! Got the new one in today and its like a new car again! Was dreading the job after reading all the stories, but i actually quite enjoyed it! Took me 2 and a half hours in all, and that includes the ten minutes fishing the screwdriver out of the bottom of the intakes :(

when the replacement is fitted make sure the scuttle is performing right, and not allowing water underneath the windscreen seal, and soaking into the foam underneath the scuttle, then dropping onto the DIS :y
