Post by: feeutfo on 19 January 2010, 02:02:16
think i need to bleed the brakes... ::) ;D

got a feeling i put 5dot in it last time which may explane the suden fade, doesnt last as long as 4dot i beleive?

been wondering about goodridge braided lines to replace the rubber flexi bit to caliper, worth it?
7 years old, rubber must be past it by now, and expanding when warm?

dont think so, i always leave the car very close to the garaga door anyway for added security, after a spirited drive home i got slightly less response from the pedal than i'm used to. Smell of hot brakes when i got out of the car.

Yep. DOT 5.1 will cause no problems at all. Phew!

How long has the fluid been in there? Due a change?

almost 2 years, but the pistons where not pushed back so some old fluid willl still remain in the caliper. :-/
