he may have the spanish paperwork, but there is a transfer tax to pay on it plus it may not have had the spanish taxes paid, could be a minefield if the paperwork is not all there!!!

Like Omegatoy says any buyer needs to be very careful with this. The mechanical fixes look straightforward but the UK buyer could be saddled with a raft of problems that the Spanish authorities may or may not bother chasing up. If someone bought it and registered it onto UK plates you might be OK, however anyone taking it back to Spain would have to deal with paperwork. Could be 3 issues or more.
1. various transfer taxes to be paid by both the buyer and by the seller (Ebay man or previous owner) to the Spanish government. About 7% of government book value.
2. Buyer needs to check that all "road tax" has been paid up to and including last May (lasts a year with no refunds allowed)
3. Most importantly needs to check that there are no debts (loans, finance on a house extension etc ) against the car. They transfer with the car.
If it had actually been in Spain I might have had a look but will have to pass on it.
