You might have learned a bit from a Haynes manual on brakes! If used as a guide they're very good, especially considering what they cost.

I have 2 for some reason, think i was left one by accident from one of the parties.
I remembered brakes, but i found it useless for other tasks. Cambelt change it does not mention locking the cams :o

I remember my old 2CV mechanic taking the Haynes Manual out of my hand, opening the door of the workshop wood-burner and throwing it in.
"trouble" was all he said, then lit a roll-up and started work ;D

Chapter 2C.7
NB Accurate adjustment of the timing belt requires the use of the following Vauxhall service tools; camshaft sprocket locking tools (KM-800-1) and KM-800-2) crankshaft sprocket locking tool (KM-800-10) etc etc
Seek & thou shall find! ;) ;) ;)

Section 2B is the 4 pot section ...... 2C is the proper engine ;) and chapter 7 is Timing belt - removal & refitting. Picture 7.0 shows the Vauxhall timing belt service tools and pictures 7.4a 7.4b 7.4c & 7.4d show where they go :y
Infact all chapter 7 shows the full procedure.

Cheers :y
Nice of them to put it in another chapter, working through the points in order on the belt change description (no mention to Skip to Chapter7) although it did say put crank to 45 degrees before TDC, so would be no damage to the cams. :-/
