Title: Big thanks to Darth Loo Knee
Post by: SMD on 23 January 2010, 13:42:10
Drove ~200 miles to change my cam cover gaskets and a service. Sorted all that for a very reasonable price too and took care of a few other niggles for free!

His Omega knowledge is spot on, noticed odd little bits that were piped up incorrectly or damaged so if anyone needs anything done he comes highly recommend from me.

Nice one mate. I'll let you know if it goes quicker now!  ;D

Aye, I wouldn't have even considered getting the work done if I hadn't come on this forum.

Anyway, having the gaskets changed/serviced has improved my fuel consumption already. Made the same journey today as I did last Friday when I averaged 20.4mpg compared with 29.8mpg today with aircon on and booting it on the sliproads.

Good stuff, suprising how much better the MPG is when the breathers have been cleaned out properly :y
