Post by: Squealey on 28 January 2010, 21:52:17
Well, its the end of January, House rent £800, daughters 3rd birthday next week = £70ish, car tax = £104. Cars been on ramps throughout the cold period and has cracked the windscreen, excess = £65, MOT due in a couple of weeks = £52, hoping to god it passes, priceless!!!!

Problem is, im still out of a job, I have absolutley zero spare funds to sort the car out for the forseeable future.

I feel a SORN coming on >:( :( >:( :( :'( :'(

Anyone got a spare 2 or £300 they wont miss, please.

Oh go on, I did ask nicely :y :y :y :y

PKR have you tried them with hundreds of freeroles evry day, with time on your hands looking for funds you should be able to win somthing. My first $100 withdrawal was made without puting my own monney down/ Then got greedy blew a lot more now balancing out with only being $20 down in two years.

I am asuming your over 18 mind, please gamble responsably and cap yourself a livable limit if you take this root. :exclamation

How did i know that would get brought up. Im sorry but have you brought much in the way of toys lately? Its not just presents either, its the party that goes with it. £70 is not a lot of money when you see how far we can make it go.

If i could i'd spend a thousand pounds, ten thousand pounds even on my beautiful little girl and im not about to apologise for it.

At the end of the day, I haven't got a job, my wife works all the hours god sends, do you think that makes me feel like a man, the fact that I can't provide for my family AND maintain my car at the same time. Believe me, it doesn't!!

Just about the only joy i get is looking at my son and daughter, every day is a struggle and if my wife and i can relieve it by lavishing presents on them very occassionaly then surely thats our peroogative, its the only time apart from xmas they get gifts.

Squealy ....  :)

You will set your priorities as you see them, no more, no less. Others may disagree with them, but that is only a matter of opinion. And like a certain bodily orifice .. everyone has one !!!

I realise that your opening post was probably half joke/half frustration and was, more than likely just a way of letting of steam..... however.. you have laid yourself open to all manner of highly subjective opinions by bringing it to a public forum....  :(

IMHO your best bet is to simply not post anything in this thread again .. don't allow the detractors to trigger an argument. Without food they die ... and that is probably the best result for this thread.

I hope things improve and go well for you and your family, but in all honesty .. a public forum is NOT the place these problems should be... horrible though they are to you.

Take care ...  :)

£70 dont go far at all when it comes to children,

say 3 presants one off mum one off dad and you have another child in photo so thers a third, if each presant costs £20 each therse £60 gon. So thers his presants done whats left say easy £6 on birthdaycake therse still party food banners balloonse and probably plenty of other things that im not going to bother try listing to get out of the £4 thats left. Lets not forget christmas has just been so thers not much chance of the monney pot being full.

Dont take some of the idiotic post on here to hart.

Hope the day goes well for your doughter and the both of you. And as for fealing asthough you not fullfiling your manly dutes thank the bra burning and embrace the househusband role. Im allso out of work and skint but the kids give me more smiles than a pay chek can, you cant buy back the time you lose with your young ones when you not there.
