After removing drilling out and sorting my o/s exhaust manifold last year due to broken studs and blown gaskets, i was miffed to hear my n/s one chuffing even when warm and air pump has stopped.
So as my only refrence is the dreaded Haynes manual i read that you cant remove this manifold without removing engine or head,
Please someone tell me this ain't so and once again haynes have got it wrong
Yours hopefully :(

If you have to drill the studs, they are right... ...if just gasket, why get away with undoing engine mount and forcing over a little?

Trouble is with the heat sheilds on can't see if studs are broken and going by past experience all the bolts holding on the heatshields will brake off and need drilling out, Also i think car has a kwik fit ex.system which has a habit of grounding out which is what i think broke the studs on the other manifold on reflection, and now be happening to this one.
The reason I think its not a standard system is the twin pipes that run under n/s of diff just before the rear silencer one of them seems really low and even with oxy and loose clamps can't get it any higher >:(
