Title: Unique gearbox (not)
Post by: Hannah Judes Dad on 02 February 2010, 13:25:40
Just trawled through fleabay and found this,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-TOURER-AUTO-BLUE_W0QQitemZ120525069717QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item1c0fda9d95

In the ad it says the gearbox and clutch are all ok,not bad for an auto!

You don't read ads cynically enough.  It actually says they 'appear' to be in good order.  Very different from the next sentence where "THE BODYWORK AND INTERIOR ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR AGE AND MILEAGE".

Doesn't make any difference to your point, granted, but there are a few other things that I would be wary of.  The reference to it being manual in the lower text and automatic in the categories is further evidence of shaky info. :-[
