Title: Wing mirror

some numpty decided that i wasnt other the road far enough and hit my wing mirror and also scuff the bumper and rear 1/4 any one know how much a new mirror is?

the thing is i might just charge the guy for a new wing mirror and get one from a breakers and with whats left get the rest of it sorted

i know but the thing is he has two kids and i do feel a bit sorry for the guy as i wouldnt like to be in his situation so i think ill just ask him for the money for the mirror and get it sorted else where. I can believe the price vx want for a mirror it works out everyting included £350 + vat what a joke unless they are gold plated

Had my drivers door mirror smashed off by a lorry a while back and was quoted around £350 by VX for a replacement. Ended up getting one from member on here in the Parts For Sale section. Cost me £60 plus the cost of getting it sprayed to the correct colour. :y

Yes they're fairly rare, the ones for the pre-facelift models are about £10 ea, facelift ones about £50 ish. I remember phoning up 50plus breakers before I got one last year.  :-X

im not to worried now the guy has decided he wants to go though insurance but im just going to wait and see if he tries it on saying its my fault then ill have to pay him visit  ;)

The way things are now with car insurance with that prices for a mirror and then sorting the scuff and rear quater...I would not be surprised if they that wrote it off...... >:( >:(

they shouldnt do but im going to take a cash in loo settelment and get it repaired myself at a fraction of the cost
