Title: Car alarm
Post by: Nickbat on 10 February 2010, 19:13:41
We have a large gritter lorry that thunders down our residential street at high speed when ice/snow is expected overnight. On a number of occasions (like tonight), it has set my alarm off.

What exactly causes this? Is it just the sound waves from the large diesel?

 :-?

The alarm has a tilt sensor inside. I believe it can be disabled by pressing the alarm button on the dash before locking up, but then so is the ultrasonic sensor.
