Engines are the same no matter what kind of gearbox they are bolted to. What caused such catastrophic failure?

Pm Loo Knee....he may well have one.
The difference between auto and manual is that the manual has a thrust bearing.....which can be ignored if keeping the auto setup....

depends on the donor really, bonus if its manual but im happy with an auto..
thought the spark plugs were causing a miss, the passenger head gasket had blown..
removed a plug on the driver side n the plug crubbled n fell into the head... had to drve it to go rip the head off,
n unfortunatly the peice of ceramic smashed the piston which in turn scored groves in the sides, then imbedded itself into the head and cracked it
grrrr
ruined such a nice origional engine.... :'(

Have you phoned any scrappies in Pimhole Bury? I haven't been down there for a while, so no idea what's down there. Bury Salvage & Autosave are the bigger yards.
