Hi, I plan to clean my engine bay next weekend with Autoglym engine cleaner and a few cloths. I plan to low pressure wash quickly after and need to know what electrical items in the engine bay need covering in plastic. The engine is a 2.5 V6 in a X reg facelift Omega. Thanks for the help :y

Never done it myself, and personally would be ever so slightly hesitant.
However, I remember this question being asked some months ago, and I think the answer was, you only need to cover the alternator and battery...but other than that it's fine :y

And the aircon pump if fitted ... water gets into the clutch bearings IIRC

Done it too many engines in the past, never had a problem after wards :y
Be careful of the obvious parts though, as Entwood say try and avoid soaking it if you can ;)

I have always blasted my engines with pressure washer and never no trouble, the results are well worth it in the end. :y

Problem is, it only takes one electrical connector or component where the seal is overcome by the spray and you'll be scratching your head for days. Mate of mine missed out on a long weekend driving holiday through deciding to do this.
I say don't bother, myself.
