Title: 3.2 police saloon on auto trader 300 BHP ;D ;D ;D
Post by: david_omega on 21 March 2010, 09:01:53
one i supplied, an ex traffic car which was then used as a training car for its last days, until the AR35 blew to shit,  which we replaced,   is now up for sale a few months after selling it for £1800 or so,   its on autotrader for £3000 with 300hp chip!
i think this needs looking into, i want to know how to get that sort of power from a car!

and in the description, states never used as a traffic car.
why 3 holes in the roof then lol

300  BHP chip? Sorry. I don't buy it. It would need forced induction to get 300 BHP from a 3.2.

He’s a Trader so He needs His margins, maybe when you start to haggle to bring the price down the BHP comes down as well!

Not described right to me though, 3.2 Special (MV6), Sports Seats (GLS Spec), Rear electric windows on Ex Police? Starting to think no Trip Computer, Audio remote control, etc, etc.

I'm pretty sure that when you put an advert on AT, you choose the model, it then automatically comes up with what specification the car has an MV6 would have, Rear leccy windows and sports seats etc  :y

Quite easy to extract that kind if power really from a v6 if you want to spend thosands on engine internals etc,and cant see the police doing that. ::)

Interestingly it is being sold by Mark Payne motors. Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Markey Mark's name Mark Payne? I seem to remember that being his real name when i bought a part from him?

Same guy????? :-? :-?

Exactly. Steel internals, some serious porting, lairy cams and improvements to intake and exhaust system and it might rev high enough to make that sort of power. Wouldn't be in a state of driveability that would be any use to the Police though. ;)

.. and the "chip"can't be changed on the motronic 3.1.1 anyway.

Well, at least the 3.2 has a steel crank to start...you only then need conrods, custom pistons etc etc etc
