I replaced the originals on mine about a year ago, it seemed the thing to do before I towed my caravan to French France last year. The difference was .....er  :-/noticeable!  ::)  ::) :y  :y  :y

I fitted some soon after I got the car

A lad at work wonders why I keep spending money on the car, but then he had an oil change and his car was transformed (it was treacle)

Yep my rear brakes are going to get checked, before I do any more towing. I reckon the brake fluid needs changing as well.

I'm sure I posted the pictures at the  time, but they looked OK on the outer face. It was only when I had a proper look on the inner faces I discovered they were oppsed somewhat past their best. They looked as though they had really rusted but had a shiney glace over the top.

i really wouldn't go for GM any more. they are coming from a "discount" source.

best would be the OE manufacturer, Ate. currently available from Euro Car Parts for less money than trade club

I would rather put Brembo or some other OEM manufacturer than original GM.
Cost less, and probably much better.

Andy B......My front discs were worst than that on the inner surface. And I got a Vx dealer to change the pads 6 months earlier, and they never noticed the condition of the discs >:(
So one set of f**ked up pads, I had the discs and pads changed again later. No wonder I had wheel wobble under braking.
Darth and Elite Pete did the job properly for me.
I'll never trust a Vx dealer again >:(

Mick ;)
