Lazydocker is arriving tomorrow so we can start my LPG project, just finished getting everything together, list of little bits here and there need is quite a bit, done about 3 trips to screwfix to get odd holescrews, cone drils and bolts.
Decided to put all the gear i have out on the garage floor to make things easy to find:
Throttle body, manifold, drill, soldering iron, pipework (cooling & polyflex)
Evaporator, tank valve, tank box, loads of water T's L's, filters, loads of bolts, bag was only £4, did not say how many came, think i might have gone a bit OTT ::) - Ah well could always do with a few spares ;D

Main Loom, pressure sensors, and outer filler

Well mines a X plate on 137k (lot for a 4 pot)
But seen 4 pot petrols in the scrappy with 250k, i expect to save £10 a day, and it will be paid back within 5 months on business miles alone.
Even if i only get 2 more years of use out of the car, which is about right given my current millage. It will have paid for itself time and time again :)
-
Good luck with it all :y :y

Something missing from that list of bits ......... :)

Does look very interesting Tunnie, looks like you've got enough assorted parts to be building a second car ;D
If you fancy a hand, i.e with the easy stuff liking making the tea I'm more than happy to pop over for a bit :D

Be nice to meet you :y

Tunnie, have you found out which wires you need to tap into at the ECU?
And have you got the wiring diagram for the kit or do I need to bring my own?

I'm working on it. :y
There is a wiring diagram too.
Should have soldered some tails into the ECU harness ready last night. Completely overlooked that. :(

Ta... Wasn't sure if you'd have time so was covering other options :y :y
Not too worried about cutting in to the ECU loom TBH... I think it's too fiddly to get on the pins on the 2.2 isn't it? :-/

Just a quick one. Might well be a stupid question:
I assume it's a Z22XE with Simtec management?
TIS seems to show a Motronic diagram too. :-/
Kevin
-
think all 2.2 petrol in Omega are Z22XE?
-
OK. Pinouts for SIMTEC:
+12v ignition switched feed Black X84 Pin 64
Tachometer Green X84 Pin 62
Mixture control Lambda X83 Black Pin 57 signal pin
X83 Grey Pin 8 ground pin
If you look at the routing of the looms from the ECU X83 is the connector where the loom heads round the engine itself. X84's loom heads through the bulkhead into the car.
I think the Lambda sensor pin you want is pin 57 but I've included pin 8 in case I've got them the wrong way round.
The ECU connectors are a bit dense so I find the best way is to find the pin on the connector, trace the correct coloured wire from that pin up the loom a little and scrape the insulation and solder there then insulate.
You might need to solder in connections to the petrol injectors as the connectors are part of the cable tray that sits over the injectors.

Yep. Just saw some references in TIS to Y22XE and a motronic ECU.
