Well at last the weather was good, I had all the parts, and I felt like doing the outstanding jobs on my late 2009 aquired 3.0!
The aims were to fully clean the breather system, replace the cam cover gaskets, replace the spark plugs, and give her a good engine service, with all new filters throughout along with a general engine compartment inspection.
So off with the bits including the breather system, at the top of the engine, with drivers bank cam cover off first:

Just two plug holes, one on the each bank, had oil visable,
but this photo of the drivers bank does not show it:

Next after fitting successfully the drivers bank cam cover with new gaskets, along with new plugs fitted, and the breather system pipes having been cleaned and reinstalled, the passenger bank is dealt with:

In the mean time the garage floor provids the all important base for operations:

The passenger side went back together, with new cam cover gaskets, plugs and the sorting out of a parted No. 6 plug lead (!!), but all in a surprisingly very unproblematic way (after now doing Omega cam cover gaskets 3 times now I must be have got it right!). All the bits top end went back on, all connections re-established, with fully cleaned breather boxes re-installed, and after a third round of double checking, she fired up first time with no issues. The lovely feeling of it all done, all back up and running gives the very satisfying feeling of job complete!:

Yes I have always built up a good collection of tools by always ensuring I have the right ones before I start any job.
My ex used to have a load that I used to use as well; but some of those stayed with me!! :D :D ;)

Took me 2 weeks to do mine ;D

Did a job on my brakes yesterday, well one side done anyway.
Brakes on the TD estate are not what they were, infact pretty poor now.
Found out why, the rear pads on the n/s rear had seized in. Had to get the caliper off to free up the rear one, it wouldn't budge.
Sense of achievement in doing that 8-) so going to do the o/s today :y
