Its all done, and running perfectly on gas! :D
Firstly huge thanks to:
Lazydocker - For giving up three days and traveling from huge distance to help me fit it, could not have done it without you. Your attention to detail and neatness, and stopping me doing bodges :D All first class, BIG thanks :y
Kevin Wood - for giving his evening up to drill and mount the injectors on the manifold, and for loads of advice
KenT - For the spare 2.2 manifold!
TB - Providing some tech2 after conversion to make sure all is well
All kit performed well, new drill was excellent, as was the cone drills from Screwfix :)
It was all done by about 12 today, few other bits to tidy up, more P clips on fuel rail, and few other very minor bits, but basically its done!
I did the back end of the install, tank mounting, fuel lines, fillter, LD did the much more skilled front end, he has loads of photos of this :)
Pictures are combination of yesterday's and todays, i have loads more than shown, available for a how2, i can zip these up for easy download :y
Fitting tank straps

Drilling vent holes, for fuel lines and loom

My hightech wedge for the drill, had to keep popping under the car to make sure i was not hitting the petrol tank.

well done to all concerned. a very good job indeed.
i maybe going down this route with my mv6. :y
-
It is a tidy job, plenty more space in 4 pot.
Runs well :y
Well done LD and Tunnie :y
-
No problem Tunnie and glad it worked well :y :y
I noticed TB didn't manage to hide behind the boot lid properly ::) ::)
Got home about 2 hours ago, including a fill up and having to go through town due to a road closure... Not bad time TBH. Probably something to do with a couple of c**ks who decided to try it on :-X ::) ;D
Just got to finish off those bits and it'll be done :y :y
-
Good to hear, thanks again for all your help :y
quick question, it switched fine to petrol at 5.2k rpm on another test run, but gave some beeps trying to switch back (did not manage to count them) would not switch automatically back to LPG. Pressed the button and it switched fine back to LPG.
Any ideas? - I'll get the software loaded on my laptop and get a cable from Telio next week hopefully when i see him
-
Excellent job fella's, looking forward to the HowTo :y
As an aside...
Bacon, brown sauce and plus-gas, my favourite sandwich ;) ;D ;D

I have a sneaky feeling it's the limits of the kit showing... As I said at the start, it's borderline suitability (power wise) and the pressure had dropped too low. Teilo may come up with a magic solution :y :y
You need to rotate that tank a touch before you see him (ideally)... You might get away with slackening the straps and getting a lever in (from the seats side) and rotating it like that :-/ :-/
Bet you sleep well tonight ;D ;D
Oh... And a big thanks to Mother and Father Tunnie for keeping the tea flowing when they were in :y :y
-
I'll pass it on, also pass my regards to MrsLD for some very nice cookies, and brownies, also for the time you spent here rather than keeping her warm in the evenings :)
like i say, if you ever need a garage its available, although it is a long way to come. But if you need shelter during a conversion :y
Tempted to try rotating tank tomorrow, TB?

Not painted it, thats how it comes with kit, with body work being a dark colour in blends in well. Some hide filler behind number plate or put it on body work, personally i was not too fussed were it went :)

Good job LD and Tunnie :y :y
most interesting piccy was bacon butties, I must admit ::)

want the URLs of mine? I can post just them (without img tags) to make it easy to build into one thread? :-/
