after a string of probs the latest being alternator with my 2001 2.6 est is it time to throw in the towel...the mot is due soon will need 2x tyres..new n/s exhaust section ive got an ongoing prob with the front wheel bearings plus emisssions well a miracle i think to get it through love the car but where do you draw the line...

2 tyres, £140?

Exhaust, £120

Wheel bearing, £100 say?

You would spend more then that sourcing a replacement, easy.

Just fix it  :y

Can get tyres around here £35 each if all you want is rubber on your wheels......

All of those things are basic wear and tear items that will need replacing/repairing regardless of what car you drive.........!!

Keep itif I were you.....!

If you're not keeping it, then you are valuing your car at less than £400 so can I buy it please......!!!!

Misfire probably coil pack? Rear bumper.....£not much.....

Come on mate, keep her, if you cant afford to sort her surely you cant afford to sell her and replace her with something else.....

I do 65 each day - and it's the best part of the day.

Mind you, some mornings I can do the first 25 miles before seeing another car

If I lived where you live I'd work as a waitress at the Hartside cafe just for the commute.  ;)
