It's time to sort out the Pug, before it lets me down.
Jobs to do this weekend, include:
* Both Front Wishbones (there is crazy play in the NS one)
* Front brake discs and pads (current disks are majorly worn, pads are metal on metal!)
* Rear brake discs and pads (again, very worn)
* Handbrake service, including new handbrake shoes
* Brake fluid flush and change.
* Cambelt kit, water pump, and auxiliary belt change.
* Engine oil and filter change (Gen GM it is!)
* Gearbox oil change
* Investigate play in rear wheel - possibly bearing.
* Investigate corroded handbrake cables
* Replace blowing exhaust
* Change wiper blades
Not sure if I'll get it all done - as some of the jobs (brake/suspension work) are not my area of expertise - and it's a french HDi tractor, which I'm not used to working on!

Wear a beret, striped T-shirt and a string of onions and you`ll soon have it sorted James ;D ;D

Only a few jobs to do then :D
I'm sure you'll get most of it done. I've been looking at the Merc CDI engine today, and wouldn't fancy doing much work on it, so definitely don't envy your weekend task.

You'll be grand pal. My wife has a 206 and I'm thinking about taking over the servicing, with the theory that if I can work on Omegas (albeit minor jobs) surely I could carry out a basic service on that!?
Good luck :y

james,while your doing the cam belt pay close attention to the crank pulley as they are prone to breaking up(outer coming away from inner).I have fitted three in the last couple of months to customers vehicles

Bloody hell James,I'm surprised you got here the other day! :o :oI know you said you had a couple of things to do on it,but thats spares or repairs territory ;DEven having seen how quick you work,I'm guessing that's a good weekends labour. Doubtless not very cheap either. But the grin after you've done it will make it all worth while :y

You will also need some garlic ;)

Is that to 'smell' the part as well as 'look' it , or to ward off any evil gremlins lurking in the car? ;D ;)
