Hi guys, I have just bought an early facelift MV6 so need to claw back as much money as possible through the sale of my mini facelift MV6..It is a manual with 61k on the clock..10 months mot and 6 months tax.It has a few niggles one is the rust around the rear arches,and doors.The exhaust started to blow slightly a week after the mot :( and it drips oil.Nothing major the mot guy said just to keep topping it up now and again ::)..Anyhoo although it is a good car with these few niggles would I make more money selling as a whole or breaking the car ? What do you reckon guys :question

well the first thing to do is take some photos and put it in the for sale section for about £1500-£2000 and see what the intrest is.

61k :o :o Far too good to scrap :y

Pondering similar decisions myself ::)

Sad fact of truth is that both the cars mentioned here are worth more in parts and a weighed in shell than as whole cars :( :'(

I know my hubby said that,it sounds mad but our facelift has more miles and I was thinking of maybe keeping the engine and gearbox just in case ::).

I've had the same problem, i've decided that after eight years its time to part company with my MV6 :'( I'll see if it goes as a complete unit if not i'll let the magpies descend!!

And there will be plenty of them ;)

Well the obvious way is to try and sell it first, if you dont get wha you feel it's worth then it get's taken apart.
Down side of taking it apart is storing the bits you want to keep and the other is getting the other bits sold to raise cash.

Its got lots of goodies on it. Steinmetz matched springs and shocks, Jetex stainless cat back, rare Mattig grill even rarer air intakes either side of the fogs. Oh and the wheels were brand new out of the box about four years ago. Superchiped. I'll be putting it on cars for sale with an expanation shortly!
