I had a losing battle with rusting rear wheel arches on my Carlton, had to scrap the car it got so bad, and Vauxhall didn't supply parts anymore, they were prone to this but aren't designed to last forever  :(

Yep, the 02 plated 3.2 i've bought has this problem, getting it cut out and a new section welded in. Once done both rear wheelarches are getting undersealed. Cost wise not to bad, £250 all in but thats including a rust £90 repair on the rear passenger door.

Cheers,
Iain

Ahhh well Barry, never mind, maybe if you cleaned it a little more throughly / often it would have been ok.

Sounds like a plan... Think I will need to look at mine fairly soon - Mainly the bottom of the drivers door.

Could be interesting, though my 98 GLS has no such problems..... :D :D
