Title: Some pics of the tow bar which I fitted to my mig
Post by: Jim on 15 April 2010, 20:06:04
Right, just before I took the car to Italy I got a Brink detachable tow bar fitted, the reason I chose this tow bar was I didn't want to cut the irmscher rear bumper, also I didn't want it to be seen when not using it, anyway pics below what do you think:

Fitted

Looks good or not as the case may be  :y  :y  :y
I managed to get a swivel plate for the electrics from Bosal at Preston so it was also out of site when not in use.
Hope you got rid of the insulation before you fitted the plate.  :y

it is if it was left inplace under the plate. The insulation is a bitumen type stuff, in time, it'll compress & loosen the mounting bolts.  ;)

Removed that sound deadening stuff on mine, easy enough, provided its heated up with a paint stripping gun, hair dryer, fan heater or what ever you have.

Mines for a bike trailer i haisten to add. ;)
