Title: Exhaust for 3.2
Post by: Arrolman on 21 April 2010, 19:50:05
Hi,

My rear box is on its last legs, got a nice big hole in the front of it and its getting worse. Whats recommended for the 3.2 exhaust wise? Eternal system? S/S system? Whats everyone else got/use?

Cheers,
Iain

Eternal is about the best of the patterns, can't complain for the money (£120 cat back)

If you intend on keeping car a long time, stainless could pay for itself. Go stainless if you want better aesthetics / noise  :y

Hi,

£120's a good price for that, any idea on S/S systems price? Planning on keeping the car for a while so might be better option

Cheers,
Iain

can't really comment on SS don't know too much about them, they vary fair bit in price. I'd expect to pay £300-400

The only problem i've found with the eternal exhausts is they supply a mini facelift one for a facelift and i've found them a bit short at the back end ie the rear pipes dont stick out from under the bumper but its easily sorted with some nice chrome tail pipe covers

Hi,

Spoke to Eternal today and they say that they don't do a system to fit the 3.2? Anywhere else recommended then?

Cheers,
Iain

Hi Jim,

Any chance of getting some pics? Might get away with just changing the backbox, will need to get it up on ramps to have a good look :-?

Cheers,
Iain

I recently had everything changed post cat (2 boxes + backbox) for about £200 on my 3.2.  Mid boxes are Arvin and back is Euroflow, all in usual steel.  'bargain but the car is more throaty now if you worry about the noise.  make sure you get saloon or estate version right though; first attempt did not fit!  ;)
