Title: Got a New van
Post by: Del Boy on 22 April 2010, 20:20:24
Ok so the 08 plate one didn't come, not HPI clear making it harder to sell on which is really my main aim. Just as well really as I've just purchased a Metallic Black Astra Sportive 1.7 CDTi on an 07 Plate. Not just any ordinary sportive though, this has 18" vauxhall alloys, SRI XP side skirts, SRI XP rear bumper, VXR front bumper, VXR grilles, a magnaflow exhaust, headlight eyebrows, and a nice few other subtle little mods. You know what I love it and think it looks the business  8-) 8-)

Anyone know if Magnaflow exhausts are expensive? Hoping to get a bit of cash for this one as I'm not sure I'm 100% on this one  :-/ There again I don't know if it'll look right with it not in the middle and VXR's have them in the middle.

Well good news, registered on Astra owners Network, found out the bloke was quite a popular member on there put his name in the search, it's cost him over 2k for the bits, I've got a picture of it when it was a standard sportive, its been remapped, its got eibachi (how do you spell it) springs all round, it's I think been de catted he said he was planning to do this in a thread from 2008, there is loads of pictures of it on there, he was a valeter too he told me everything that has gone on with the van too. If only more sellers were like this, he missed out important bits like the remap though  :D

Sounds good Del, using this for business needs or is this going on shortly as well?

The seats do look awfully bright, but that is due to the flash on the camera. They're much nicer than they look on the photos, this'll be going shortly too :y

I think personally, that there will have to be a buyer who is more interested in the looks rather than the van aspect of it but, I think it'll fly out due to the looks and the other bits and bobs on it. I just think it looks like a modded van, can't see the hearse side, there again everyone see's something different. I wouldn't lend it to anyone though ;D I don't need a van, it won't get used as a van, but I've always had vans, needed them when I was fitting alarms and stuff and never really got out of having one.

Very tidy - I'd love that, but the red seats are a bit OTT for me.

It's "Eibach" by the way :y
