Title: Best tool for oil cooler pipe removal?
Post by: feeutfo on 27 April 2010, 11:46:13
May need to do an oil cooler plate re seal in next couple of weeks, whats best tool to get the pipe nuts off by the crank sensor? I'm guessing flair nut spanner.

Any other thoughts getting these off? these nuts on my old 2.5 refused to budge with an open ended spanner and i dont want to bend the pipes.

Ta.

Not sure if they'd fit but you can also get pipe sockets.

Proper Pipe/Flare spanner is probably the best bet...

I have some here if you're passing and want to borrow. Or about £17 for a set.

we have some business to do, Oxford meet perhaps? a borrow would be handy, although i need to get some, along with those silly breather clip plyers, and a small angle grinder, and a locking kit, and a bigger compressor, and and and...

mans shopping in other words. Oh yeah, killed my power drill the other day as well. Smoke pooring out if it.
