i'd like to see a few opinions here if possible, looks to me like this car was a bit of a bargain since its mentioned that it has the replacement bumper and bonnet included in the sale...
your thoughts?
(is this ebay link permitted as its an ended item?)

about right for the money, no tax, mot, bonnet, bumper damage, front wing too, even if that was mint it would only fetch £1k-£1.5k
-
it was bought with no tax in jan, taxed in feb, so is taxed til august
has 11 months MOT still, and apart from the wing, the sale includes the replacement bumper and bonnet
-
so it has ;D
Have to wonder why he is selling it broken when he has the bits, could sell for more if fixed. :-/
-
well never mind, his loss is my gain ;)

I thought the elites all had leather
-
in the facelifts the leather was standard on the 3.0 and 3.2, but an optional extra on the 2.5 and 2.6
I decided not to buy it though when i went, apart from the dent on the front the car was absolutely stunning to look at, though it was either burning oil that was leaking from the rocker covers that had apparently been done, or it was burning oil within, it was also very lumpy at idle
when i used cruise, it kicked down properly and revved up to 6000 to pick up speed but it wouldn't kick down the same when flooring the pedal, also there was a bit of movement in the accelerator pedal and throttle cable before it actually increased power

Looking at what you've mentioned, i'd say you did right to walk away :y

hmmm, You live a few miles away from the advertised car, you bid and win the auction then decide you don't want the car. I love ebayers like you >:( ;D

Why didn't you view before bidding? Do you know how frustrating it is when people win something, then don't pay up, I've had it numerous times :(
-
should make sure the discription of the advertised item is truthfull and complete then when people come to pay up they have no excsuss. remember its the discription that people buy on.
thats my thoughts any way :)

No matter what it is, no matter what the description, if you're serious about buying go and look first, don't bid then say it's not as advertised.

Sounds like the throttle cable just needed a tweak.

that wouldn't make it idle rough and leak oil though :-?
