Is it me or are LPG pumps crap? Everytime i go to Asda one of them is out of order, this time both >:(
Shell garage has week seals, and this weekend local cheapy one at Towcester had both pumps out :(
Got bit hacked off Asda was broke again, 2.2 got a bit of a spanking on way back, regularly going well past 4k and into 5/6k :o
Still averaged 10.6p a mile though! 8-)

My sympathies, tunnie :(
As I said in an earlier post, both the LPG pumps are out at my local ASDA because of 'a software problem'. It doesn't look like anyones in a hurry to fix said problem either, and my LPG kit arrives tomorrow >:(
-
its annoying using likes of BP, as it costs about £9 more to fill up >:(
-
Pumps at Towcester working Tuesday morning. Just as well, as I had this strange bleeping noise all the way there, and petrol gauge was falling fast ::)
-
Its normal for Asda pumps to be out, irrespective of petrol or diesel (and LPG it seems).

some dodgy fitter installed that then, if you cant turn it off?
:D ;D

Toying with wiring it up to the airbag, so when I run low, it will do a better job of attracting my attention... :-[

Update from me Vis: Asda.
According to the petrol station manager at my local store, Asda has a software glitch with certain makes of LPG pump. At the time of writing, there are 17 (yes, 17!) stations in the North & East of England with closed down LPG pumps and he couldn't give me a timescale for repair!!! :(

Hard to mount the gauge in mini-facelift, mine had perfect mount point, easily viewable.
That said i do go by mileage only, as red light comes on at 310 miles, and i can do 400 to a tank of gas

According to JohnnyCool (Asda Manager) there are only 11 or 12 stores nation wide that sell LPG :-/

i guess I could do 300+m on my (smaller) tank if I really did a motorway commute, rather than the dealing with the usual retards on the road, including the retarded council, who being a bunch of useless, incompitent retards, do the retarded thing that retards do of starting to dig up the roads during the rush hour. I did open the window, call them a bunch of useless incompitent retards, but being the retarded retards they are, just looked back at me like a bunch of retards.
Rant over. For now.

Rant not over. This is approximately 6 months after the senior retards aplogised on TV about being a bunch of retards, yet the retards fix the same bit of broken road, as the retards ballsed it up the first time around, and break the promise of not starting non urgent repairs during rush hour. But being retards like they are....

I thought the smell of Bullsh*t was a bit strong when he was waffling away at me ::) ;D Still, I hope they sort it PDQ >:(

I can get 350ish on a tank if commuting at about 80ish... 300 on the normal run around I do almost every time :y :y

Crikey TB!, I thought you said you weren't stressed enough to see a quack? :D If you keep that up, IR you won't have any option mate :o ;D ;) :y

Don't go there. My boss started going there this morning, as I rolled in 30mins late. Needless to say, he quickly found something else to do...

I think I may have a problem in that case - I got 270 out of that first tank (decent 70 - 85mph commute back mostly), tank needs a tweak, but thats only another 5 litres (25m)

I think its appropriate to get a spot of road rage whilst in the car. Pointless getting a bout of road rage whilst laying on the sofa, is it not?

Mine occasionally drops that low... Don't forget it was the first run... Virgin system, lots of idle and calibration. You'll probably find it improves over the next few tanks ;)
And 270+25=295... About right IMO ;)

Does that mean the oil problem is cured? I may have missed an update ::)

No, oil problem not sorted yet. I haven't often gone in to 3 figures, honest. Not been floored either. I do work in Milton Keynes, so there is a small amount of stop/start

I've managed to get it down to 250 when driving in town the big smoke a lot. Oh... And I've had sub 150 miles with the Pikey Box on the back! :o :o
-
mine has got better over course of a few tanks, but that could be down to weather. Managed to crack 27mpg on gas!

mpg is a useless comparison! Work in pence per mile and you realise how much you're saving ;) ;)

My commute is 1m through brackley, 10m on a43 at a decent cruise, drag through towcester, 50mph cruise down a5 (assuming the retards aren't being retards), then a bit of dual carriageway across MK (no roundabouts), then about 3m through Bletchley. A commute on petrol, I easily get over 25mpg even when driving more energetically ::)

I still like to use mpg, as i can double it. With LPG being less than half the price of petrol, 27mpg means at least 54mpg :D

I prefer to look at it that I run a V6 armchair for about the same cost as a small car ;)

Sorry to come back to this so late on, only just read through it - Yes, there are only 11 LPG stations in the UK, but the computer glitches are a significant problem, and not just for the LPG (we don't have it here). Things are regularly breaking down on us, usually chip and pin machines, and our car wash hasn't worked for over 6 months! Our air machines are regularly out of use due to vandalism as well.
Some places need a bit of 'prodding' sometimes to wake them up and give it some attention ::)
