As most of you will know, it has been a rather long and drawn out path of recovery for my tractor over the past 5 months but now shes back and running better than ever :y Problem is, im not the only one who thinks so. A quick excerpt from a 'chat' me and swmbo had on Saturday night.
Zoe: Your cars running nicely isn't it
Me: Yeah honey, nice of you to notice
Zoe: I've been thinking, you only do a few miles a day now, wouldn't my new (W reg) Polo be better for what you do.
Me: But I thought you liked the new car
Zoe: I do, but yours is just so much bigger and more comfortable than mine, its easier to get the babies in and out of and the prams fit easier in the boot
Me: Are you serious
Zoe: Its just something I was thinking about earlier thats all
Me:STUNNED SILENCE :o :o :o
So, is that it :question Do I say goodbye to Omega motoring (for the most part anyway) :question
Talk about a bolt out of the blue :o :o :o

Unbelievable! Thankfully swmbo in this house only likes to drive the Omega on the odd occasion!
-
Well if you don't want to say goodbye to driving it then start sowing some seeds of doubt. Something along the lines of how big it is, would she be comfortable parking it etc.
For me, SWMBO doesn't like to drive mine very often for those same reasons, so never a problem for who takes which car :y.

My mate bought a newish volvo a few years back, his wife loved it so much he had to get himself a runaround.
Any way it seems he gets to drive it occasionally, but seems the fuel light is allways in the red when he does, and the car needs cleaning or the tryes need air in them. :y

Time to put some ditchfinders on it. See if you can dissuade her. ;D

Buy your Mrs one simple :y
Yup, sell the matchbox car Polo and buy her a MIG if that's what she wants.
-
I reckon that as soon as she tries using it every day and has to park in awkward places, has to fill it with deisel, etc etc, she'll get fed up with it
Especially if it breaks down ;D

Buy your Mrs one simple :y
Thats what we did - saloon for me, estate for her!! :y
-
my other half is used to driving a people carrier and doesn't like the mig as she feels too low in it,happy days ;D :y
-
Personally I have given the wife the best car we had, and allways will.
It is worth it in the long run ;)
-
as above, there is a reason we have 3 Omega's :)
-
Mrs TheBoy prefers the superior car on the driveway, so normally takes the Rover ;D
That said, she really liked Squeleys tractor, used to bomb that around everywhere....
-
LOL guess i must be lucky then!!! reason? Ze hates driving the td, because in her words when it accelerates its to quick and makes my stomach churn!!
so hence the reason i tinker with it trying to make it pull even harder!!! although its pretty much at its max now i think!! :y

I must be a lucky one my battle axe can't drive :D :D ;D
