Post by: Del Boy on 08 May 2010, 16:12:38
A 300c, but should be getting two delivered sometime this week  :y

One a 5.7 V8 Startech in Silver other a 300c CRD in Black  :D

A cracking deal too just hope it all plans out.

Must admit, would like a gunmetal grey coloured one parked next to my Elite.

i like the looks of them, but heard some horror stories on build issues, as based on old E-Class

They'll be here about 3 weeks, the black one I may keep for myself. Startech one is lovely 22" upgraded alloys too but it's silver. I can see the neighbours being happy if they turn up  :-/

Personally think the big alloys look stupid in some cases.

Just been looking round, prices have dropped considerably on these compared to a few months ago, probably due to fuel prices.

Diesels carry a premium over the Petrols, the 5.7 was discontinued in 2008, the 3.5 V6 is terrible, the 3.0 CRD is my pick of the bunch but the 5.7 is also nice but loses money quicker.

Looking at the paperwork here, it says the 300c CRD is the Silver startech, and the 5.7 is the black one, I could've sworn he said the black was the CRD but the pictures he's just sent show a Silver startech. My head hurts, oh well startech and diesel just mean it's worth a tad more  :D

Very nice cars but go easy on the auto box of the CRD as they tend to just stop working, i found this out about 2 years ago when i went all the way up to the north east to test drive a 18 month old 26,000 mile CRD with full option kit and a price tag of £18,500 and on test drive the gearbox lost all drive, you should of seen the guy's face who took me out in it. I did a little digging and found this has happend to quite a lot, not good seeing as they are merc engine's and box's.
