Title: No air filter?
Post by: Jimbob on 12 May 2010, 07:56:31
Saw a music vid earlier, Gorillaz - Stylo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9vAOzYz-Qs

Now it looks to me like throttle bodies on the bonnet, which I presume go straight to the engine?  Is this right?  could there be a filter inbetween?

Assuming not, wouldnt all the dust and crap getting sucked in grind away the engine internals quite rapidly?

Or am I totally missing the point?

Looks like a MAd Max pi55 take, so that will be the bug catcher on top of the supercharger.

Any bugs get minced up so small in the supercharger that they fit through the clearances of the good 'ol lump of detroit ironwork underneath it. ;)
