Title: passed mot ,mirror ripped off

 took car for retest today after fitting new track rod end,needed tracking done and a small weld on the exhaust to pass,no problem till i drove away and noticed the passenger door mirror was folded inward got out to adjst it and it fell off ,leaving unset cataloy in its wake,turns out the welding was sub contracted out and he reversed the car into a hedge to cut along story short i need a new mirror >:(

I'd be taking it back to him to either...

a) replace the mirror

b) pay for a replacement mirror

c) beating the cost of a new mirror out of his hyde!

accidents happen, but he should have had the balls to own up!  >:(  >:(

update
he replaced the mirror with a damage repaired one which was worse than the one that he broke
he now is getting me a new one >:(

So ...... 3 weeks on from the MOT you're still without a mirror?  :-?  I think I'd have been hounding him a bit harder to get me another.  ;)
