I was wondering if someone could tell me. Does in put more air into the fuel and air mix which is built up in the vac tank.

Judging from a recent thread... In TB's case, it should collect emissions in a "gas retention chamber" in the drivers seat, and uses it in the combustion process via a pipe to the inlet...

Basically,
It consists of two foo-foo valves which operate under different engine loads.
Air is sucked in (as normal) through the filter, and enters a chamber full of omnimanlover crystals. These crystals remove bicarbonate of soda, leaving a purer form of 'air' and a residue perfect for baking angel cakes.
The Foo-Foo valves operate by a process called 'Voodoo Magic'. Voodoo is a conglomeration of cultural and spiritual belief systems strongly influenced by the ancient Voodoo religion of Africa, the Vodou religion of Haiti, the healing arts of Native American people, the folk magic of Europe, and Catholicism. Voodoo is culture, heritage, philosophy, art, dance, language, medicine, music, justice, power, storytelling & ritual.
Magic, is just Magic.
So you can clearly see, it has nothing to do with TB's arse. ;D

vacume is drawn from the pipe on the right side of the plenum,the vacume is there due to natural induction as the engine drwas air in, and used to operate the various valves in the heating system (i think) and multirams along with electrical operation timed from the ecu.
The multirams alter the induction air intake to give best power characteristics throughout the rev range. This i needed because air intakes, for some reason, operate differantly at certain speeds, so you get differant power levels at low and high rpm, the multirams alter the air intake in a way that gives best of both rpm worlds.
Bike makers have been fiddling around with variable length intake tracts for some time in order to tune power output at various rpm.
All to do with air flow, resonance and frequency as the valves open and shut interupting air flow i guess?
Similar to exhaust scavenging shock waves and variable exhaust valves.
