Just been having a look in the guides section at the various threads composed by Lazydocker on the subject of DIY LPG. Looks like a hell of a lot of effort was put into compiling that lot.

Wouldnt do it on someone elses car John, would do it on something I had sat in the drive and probably take forever doing it, and if it was mine it wouldnt matter so much if I messed up. ;)

TBH it's partly my fault it's not already done.... Been playing with tank options and trying to decide.... Oh, and he's been hanging on for me to get an estate and do mine first ::) ::)

should be able to sort donut tank spare wheel well guide in next couple of days, hopefully it'll be up to standard. :-/
although not sure there will be many takers, cylinder inmthe boot far more popular.

that will be my option when I change my car :y range not important to me rarey do more that 200 in any day, and work next to an lpg station :y

It's worth considering that filling with LPG is more of a faff than petrol. Often there are only 2 LPG pumps, co-located with petrol and diesel pumps, so you have to queue for them, wait for people to do their weekly shop in the attached M&S before shifting their cars >:(, etc. and then LPG pumps are out of service more often than petrol pumps, IME. Some also fill painfully slowly (10 minutes to fill an 80L tank! and some, with a 4 hole tank, are faster than filling with petrol :-/).
Just another thought for the melting pot. :y I thought 150-200 miles range would be fine for me, and very nearly went for such a tank, but in retrospect I'm glad I fitted an 80L tank now.

I NEED a boot, so not an option, its wheel well or not at all.
nice to get the filling timings though :y dont know much about it all yet. could be anytime off, when the right car appears at the right price.

I will get the stopwatch out the next few fill-ups. Might surprise myself.

LPG is a pain when the pumps don't work, as i usually top up most days at Asda cause its cheap. But if your running low and your favourite watering hole is broken, your in trouble.
Which is one of the reasons i will go diesel on my next car :'(

Heed Kevin Wood's advice - I so nearly went for small, spare wheel tank, but went for 80l cylinder in the end. Now I wish I had fitted a larger tank :o
