I've seen it all now.

vexia ? Yep, I reckon it would. ::)
My TomTom lives perilously close to being lobbed out of the driver's window and reversed over most of the time. I reckon this wouldn't last 5 minutes. ;D

Looks interesting.
When are you getting one. ::)

I lay this firmly at the feet of coalition government and their desire to bankrupt this country by slavishly considering the ludicrous environmental proposals currently being spewed forth from the rancid bowels of the EU puppet-masters :y :y
Europe will introduce a surprise new plan today to combat global warming, committing Britain and the rest of the EU to the most ambitious targets in the world. The plan proposes a massive increase in the target for cutting greenhouse gas emissions in this decade

I wonder how many crashes will be caused by the sandal wearer paying more attention to the "green" device than to their bloody driving?

That'll be the target we didn't have a prayer of meeting in the first place. ;D

Just had a read... It shows a red bar if driving uneconomically... Well that's all I'll see most of the time then ::) ::)

Anything/one that tries to tell me how to drive will just get thrown out the window ;D
Ill stick to my HTC Desire and Google Nav thanks :y

You don't need one of those, you just need my Uncle sat at the side of you. I've been out with him & my Aunti a few times in the their Discovery (they have a farm & unlike most need one). If he says "steady" once to my Aunti he must say it a hundred times.
She's not allowed to go over 60mph on the motorway, because it will cost too much & he doesn't like going fast. The old bugger's semi retired & is very loaded, but still moans about fuel comsumption.
When we all went out for a meal around a year ago i treated him to some 90mph on the motorway ;D ;D
The only problem i see is that he'd take some throwing outa the window ;D
-
Hmm... im sure if I had one of them I would be tempted to find out how 'bad' i could drive too!
Bit like ages ago when my Omega had a headunit fitted which had a G-Force meter on it.... Nuff said ;D
-
reds the target then. :)

i do my bit for the enviroment. when i go out for a blast i dont take er in doors ... ;D

I've just rented a '10 corsa to get the omega head fixed tomorrow. It is all electronic trickery, like indicators that decide when they want to cancel etc. There is also a shift icon that comes up when it wants you to shift. Right I'm going up a nearby hill, I'm in 3rd to avoid labouring the engine and doing about 28mph. This stupid thing wants me to shift up into 4th which I know will cause it to labour.
I think cars like this should have a means to cancel all this crap, and all computer programs should have a "stop being silly button" that cause the program to end immediately, no taking 10mins to save something or other.

considering most of the omegas are auto gearboxes, I seldom have much option as to when I change gear anyway.
my omega tells me I am already doing 999.9 mpg half the time anyway. (downhill on motorway), better than a Prius already.

Sounds like my Mum. It's not just me either. This guy's Mum's reaction to a first (and, If anything like my Mum, only) kit car ride made me do a double take. Precisely what happened with me. ;D

I have a rev counter that performs that same function. Needless to say, I drive uneconimically most of the time.
Which reminds me, I need to get recalibrated - got a lag changing 1st to 2nd now....
