Title: Mats and flaps
Post by: Elite Pete on 28 June 2007, 11:59:30
I was thinking of replacing the rubber front mats and fitting rear mud flaps to the Omega. Im sure there will be a few of you that have bought off Ebay so was looking for recommendations or is it best to buy from Vauxhall?

I can show you my flaps later ;)
I like Vauxhall ones for the logo
Not long replaced my mats (got em in macro), match the car quite well.
Had the original mats in the CDX, wasnt overkeen, but thinking of going back to them as her replacements 'walk' quite a bit.

Bought some 'carpet' mats of the dealer last week, £35.15, thought that they were good value as the similar set I had in the Vectra lasted 4 years before showing any major signs of wear.

VX ones also fit the clips built into the Omega carpet.

Thats what I thought, the mats on Ebay are between £25 and £30 including delivery so I thought of paying the extra and getting mats I can see before purchasing :y

i got some very nice mats for my Omega now thanks to chopsdad  :y

The propper 'Omega' branded mats look very good, much better than the generic ones. They move around less even without the clips, which is a good safety point!

I have the real ones, very good.

Saying that, I've still stuck my heel through the drivers one....

Vauxhall only Pete. :y

My mats lasted 4 years - at less than a tenner a year I'd claim good value. :)

As for flaps - the Vx ones are designed to use existing screw fixings from your bumper to give a solid fit.  They lasted me 4 years too but I scuffed the bottoms by trying to get my Omega to fly. :-[
