My son moved house end April and my daughter's place always needs things doing - so I am usually called into action - not unloaded for a while.
I made an inventory of items that have been in my boot for basically last 2 - 4 weeks:
Large tool box with spanners, screwdrivers etc mostly mixed and in wrong compartments
Lump hammer
Assorted large stone chisels - removing dodgy render and slab prep
Rubber slab mallet
Until yesterday 5 concrete pier caps for garden wall
Hards as Nails sealant stuff in gun with toilet paper over the end as cap lost
2 electric sanders in boxes
1 mains power drill - in box
1 electric screwdriver - in box
1 drill box
1 socket set small
3 bricklaying/mortar trowels
1 plasterers float
1 old towel
1 old toilet seat - been there 2 weeks not had time to go to tip
1 large tub of mortar mix with about 4 trowel scoops left in it.
2 sets screwdrivers not in tool box
Electric hedgetrimmers
Extension lead
Not bad or maybe not good - and I work in an office!!
Car did seem a bit heavy.
oh and something for the car - electric tyre inflator and tyre gauge

Last time in MOT the engineer wondered that why my headlights aim so high in 0-position... I said that I have some tools in the boot... he said "No, that will not have this much affect"... I showed him the boot (full of tools for building a stone house) and it was enough for him...

Ok the contents of my boot are:-
5l spare oil
1l spare atf
1l spare pre-mix antifreeze
1l spare pas fluid
6 pint bottle of water
screenwash
jump leads
day-glo x2

first aid kit

I don't bother with anything else - the RAC can bring that if I have a break-down...

do I detect that you have little confidence in your car - fearing it might break down at any time?
-
In mine, 1 umbrella, 1 baby changing bag and the baby BUGGY boot full, The buggy is huge in fact it's that big it should have it's own engine ;D
-
Just as well my ex-wife wasn't posting on this thread......
After you put in her make-up, her spare shoes, her spare handbag, and her cd's, there wouldn't be space for much else!!!
(and I'm not kidding!!)

I bloody well hope not given what's been done on it lately but it does seem to carry a curse ;D. The fluids are there to shut the sensors up when they complain of low levels when levels are fine (oil being the worst offender).

2 Large Faux Sheep Skin Rugs
4 Spears
5 Javelins
1 Dane Axe
1 Celtic Broad Sword

20 4ft Steel Ground Spikes
2 Steel Chain Mail Tops
1 Padded Gameson
1 20ft x 10ft Canvas Sheet
