looks like crumple zones did there job, passenger compartment looks intact.Must have taken a hell of a clout to do that sort of damage

More proof that the Omega is a good place to be if you're going to have a crash ::)

I wonder what it would score on a NCAP test?

http://www.euroncap.com/tests/opel_vauxhall_omega_1998/53.aspx

There's a working link :y :y

Not bad really as there weren't any 5 star cars of that era IIRCC

[edit]The link didn't work because you'd managed to get a space at the end of it ;)[/edit]

Maybe on a newer car, but remember, the older cars get, the more the metal gets fatigued and rusts, so please don't pin your hopes on new-car crash tests! :y

Ye canny change the laws o' physics, Cap'n... /Scotty- trekky voice.    ;D

Yup, agree with previous.  At almost 2 tonne, crumple zones apart, it will come out best against most of the vehicle sit slikely to come into conflict with.

Like the engine size metaphor, there aint no substitute for tonnage....  ;)
