Funny you should ask. We make sealed units, toughened glass, ballustrading, mirrors, shelves etc etc etc.

I guess you might be into frames? We have a fella who worked for St Johns Glass, I think they're in Worcester, working for us. You may know him, name of Colin Grant?

Blimey, err, 50 - 60m....

Its a small unit, leaded pattern, 'stained glass' effect in middle...

Well I can get cheap from Winchester or from Staples Corner in London, other than that you are looking at Birmingham or the Barnsley, Leeds, Doncaster area.

That could be handy for me. I bought a window for a house I am working on, and tried to get the sealed unit in the back seat. It was 1028 by 1108mm and it almost went in, in fact it did go in, it was just when we tried to tilt it to go over the transmission tunnel that you heard that ominous crack. Oh B******s!.  ;D   Its a fun area, the local kids managed to break the front door glass, which was one of these oval shaped pieces with a pattern on it. I understand this has to be toughened nowadays, and it will probably be cheaper and easier just to replace the whole door. In the mean time, I put in a piece of Lexan plastic, so if they try and break that, they will get a surprise! ;D

Ooh!

While we're on the subject of windows (the proper sort, not Micro$oft!), I've got a couple of sealed units that have cracked. They're sealed units in wooden frames and I'm wondering firstly why they've cracked. Could they be too tight in the frames? One of them normally has the curtains shut so I was wondering if heat differential has likked it - the other one doesn't though :-/

Anyway, I'm only 10 or 12 miles from Winchester :D

I'll find out exactly what I need. I could also pick up whatever you need and ferry to the next meet, Jaime?

Supply the measurements and width of your current glass can always get them not a problem. Alternatively we have 3 containers of wooden framed double glazed units fully compliant with all current regs (which are currently up for grabs/sale|). I also have 3 sample windows that will be binned shortly, however the sealed glass unit is not argon gas filled nor low E glass. Also have a garage of fully compliant windows made for a specific property but never went ahead, so if you give me the sizes we may already have one that fits.

I assume you mean the windows?..projects that either never happened where windows were made or contractors have went into receivership/liquidation and we have paid for the windows. The 3 containers is where planning permission was not sought, hence the windows cannot be installed, and will now be got rid of.

Actually I was wondering who made them!
