Can anyone tell me if an AR35 will fit an Opel Monza?

I doubt it, seem to recall the Monza was the 3 speed and was essentialy the rear part of the Omega box.....

I thought about this myself but the other way round,putting my spare ar35(senny A) in the mig it won't work such a pity :(

nope sorry Pete, it wont, however you could fit the entire engine and box from an omega to make a retro rocket??

Agree with G though, you should have bought that and an ex-plod 3.2 saloon  8-)

just to confirm that an AR35 wont fit, even though the gse was a 4 speed with sport mode, & the 4th gear was controlled by a single signal wire from the dashboard, i found that out converting a royale & wondering why it only gave me 3 gears so had to change the dash with the 4th gear facility on it.

that's not strictly correct.

very late Monzas and Senator "A"s had that gearbox as standard. I've had two, on a "C" and "D" - plate respectively.

the bellhousing needs to be CiH specific, though.

that car is earlier and so would have to have the aforementioned dash wiring done, too.

The AW35, or to use it's proper name the GM 4L35E is simply an earlier GM box (as used in the earlier Monza) with an extra section added to the front with another gear in it.
