To go with the new bodykit I am about to get from Rob I am looking to replace my back box with a stainless steel one. The only ones I can find are these useless universal ones which make you sound like a boy racer and only have inlet for one pipe.
Does anyone know of a brank made for the omega which looks good and doesn't sound like a bag of turd in a bagpipe?
TIA :y

Go and get a cat back system custom fitted :y

I would if I had the money, but alas all I am looking for is a nice looking backbox that wont make me sound like a chav

Cheap one from Eternal with some stainless trims on the end?

Been looking for ages for a cheap Irmscher box but it's unlikely to ever appear !!
I have considered butcering a vectra box and trying to fit the dual inlet pipes to it but doubt very much it is doable or is likely to even fit. >:(

perhaps just get one with a single inlet & add something like this in the correct bore size,,,,,,,,,,,,,,http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/mini-exhaust-y-piece-/320557479656?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa2b6f6e8

Stienmetz, ? Steep though, if the still make them at all? But probably Wally loud?
Think it's a case of getting one made otherwise, then god knows what that will sound like.
Is rob not selling the double exit exhaust on that 2.2? Could get that modified for twin pipe entry? Maybe? No good for towing though. Oh yeah, you have a boat iirc? :-/

Sorry feining ignorance here, why would it not be good for towing? Yep I have 2 boats but neither are heavy enough to cause any drop on the rear suspension.
I could modify it as I have access to skilled labour. I saw an Irmscher one on another site, not fleabay, for about £150 used! Is it any different to the standard box inside? It looked like a normal box with exhaust trims on it.... :-/
On a side note I had to get a set of new cats online as the old ones are pretty rusted up esp where I was drilling the old bolts out of. After a couple of hours ssweating on the first bolt I remembered that the emmissions was on the limit last year so I decided to bite the bullet for £190 delivered with gaskets and 2 year warrantee. I will report on their effectiveness/longevity as time goes on.
Oh and the waxoyl can is now nearly empty ::)

Problem is the 2.2 irmscher on robs dti only has a single pipe entry, the v6 is double pipe entry due to the two middle sections. Plus the one pipe either side of the number plate exit under the bumper means the pipe linking the two is in the way of the tow bar.

ah, makes sense now :y

Is it goiong on a 2.5 or 3.0? I do have that tail end that did look good on this kit, even i asked the guy if it was irmscher, you have one outlet or two in rear pipe? hence asking 2.5 or 3.0
