I was somewhere near the green camper van.

They eventually caught up with the guy - once he'd got back to the UK. The French police managed to respond only with a gallic shrug. >:(

The Seat was a bit breaked. Front lower wishbone had been ripped off  and every panel down one side knackered. Guy had borrowed it from his brother too. :(
